Open the position from Home
On Home, select an open position. Check its market and direction, entry price, position size, and mark price. Entry describes where the position was opened; mark is a reference used to value current exposure and assess margin.
A chart’s last traded price can differ from the mark. For a long, a higher mark than entry generally means positive price P&L; for a short, a lower mark generally means positive price P&L. Costs still matter.
Read fees and funding separately
In the English iOS position details, the fees row shows fees paid, while “Funding” displays an hourly amount with “you pay hourly” or “you earn hourly.” That is a current estimate, not the sum paid since opening.
The position’s History section lists fills such as opens, additions, and reductions. For recorded funding, open the Activity tab and select a funding entry. Its details can show grouped funding and individual hourly payments. Entries can arrive after the screen first loads; compare their times rather than infer a missing payment from one snapshot.
Reconcile an illustrative result
Suppose a completed practice position has $12 of gross price profit, $1 of total trading fees, and $0.30 of funding paid. The result after those costs is $10.70. If funding were a $0.30 credit instead, it would be $11.30. When a displayed result already includes a cost, do not subtract it a second time.
For payment direction and interval math, read funding rates, explained. These example amounts are virtual and hypothetical.
Inspect risk and review an exit
Check the position’s liquidation information alongside its margin mode and any stop-loss or take-profit controls. Liquidation is a forced event under margin rules; it is different from an exit you plan. See the margin guide.
Use the position’s Exit control when you want to close the practice exposure. Review the amount and confirmation before submitting. After it completes, inspect the closed result and history. If a request fails, check whether the position is still open before trying again.
Ask for an explanation of this position
Use “Ask Gobi about this position” on the iOS position screen to open a conversation with its context. Try “Explain which parts of this result came from price, fees, and funding.”
Compare the explanation with the figures and timestamps in the app. AI responses can be wrong or miss a recent update. The AI coach guide has more useful prompts and explains the review boundary.
