1. Install the practice app
Open Get Gobi for the App Store and Google Play links. On a computer, that page also offers a QR handoff to your phone. Choose Gobi, the trading simulator.
Install from your store and follow the in-app sign-in and practice-account setup. The app supplies virtual practice funds; the setup is not a deposit. Store availability and any purchase terms are shown by your store and app.
2. Find your balance and a market
Once your practice account is ready, Home shows your account overview and any open positions or orders. Markets lets you browse available instruments and open a market’s chart and details. The catalog includes perpetual markets referencing crypto and other assets; a reference to a stock or commodity does not mean you own it.
Browse one market before opening its trade ticket. Look at its price, chart, available leverage, and trading controls. You can learn from looking; you do not have to place a trade every time you open Gobi.
3. Choose a first learning task
Begin with a complete paper trading practice loop, or go directly to the ticket walkthrough if you already understand the basics.
The app also has a Learning Journey with short lessons and questions, covering trading basics, perpetuals, leverage, margin, orders, and costs. On iOS, the “Learn with Gobi” card appears on Today when today’s date is selected. Placement can differ across app versions and platforms.
Ask Gobi can explain a term or help you review a position. Keep questions specific, such as “What is the difference between my margin and total exposure?”
If you cannot continue
If market information is still loading, wait for it to refresh before reviewing an order. If an order is pending, inspect its status before placing another. A practice balance may already be committed to positions or orders.
For sign-in or account problems, use Gobi Support. Describe the screen, device, and error message; never send passwords or sign-in codes. You can read all of these web guides without creating an account.
